NAWE Conference 2016: Final booking deadline 22 October
Mon 19 Sep 2016
We’re inviting you and your colleagues to the NAWE Conference 2016, which takes place this year from 11-13 November in the beautiful medieval town of Stratford-upon-Avon

Accommodation for the full NAWE Conference is now sold out. There are a few rooms still available for the Saturday night: if you would like to reserve one, please contact Clare Mallorie (clare@nawe.co.uk).

It is still possible to book day places, although the venue may put a limit on these too. We are giving a deadline of 22 October but this may need to close earlier if capacity is reached.

We have a stellar line up of panels and papers on creative writing research and practice from several continents. Highlights include guest speakers Patience Agbabi and Kit de Waal, a Q&A with Macbeth director, Kit Monkman,as well as the launch of the Paper Nations Consultation: The Creative Writer Award Draft Framework

This year’s conference will also see the first session from the NAWE PhD Network as well as presentations from the Society of Authors, First Story and Nine Arches Press. We’re also delighted to feature readings from both NAWE Young Writers and Writing West Midlands Young Writers.

Workshops cover everything from managing residencies and festivals, screenwriting, war poetry, historical fiction, plastics, metaphor, blackbirds, rockets and drinking songs! There will, of course, be sonnets, and maybe even (weather depending) a nature trail or a spot of falconry…

Here’s a look at our programme and a link to booking information.

We hope to see you there!

*Paper Nations is kindly supported by Arts Council England and the Creative Writing in Schools fund, and is run in partnership with Bath Festivals.
