This event is for any writers currently working in the primary or secondary education sector who wish to benefit from a sharing of skills and experiences in running creative writing activities with children and young people
The Skill Sharing Day will include sixteen facilitated workshops, each focusing on an aspect of the work of writers in schools. You will be able to attend up to four workshops and there will be plenty of time for informal discussion between sessions. The facilitators are experienced writers in schools and are giving their
time for free in order to support the development of writers in schools
work nationally.
The day will run from 10am - 4pm.
The introductory talk, at 10.30am, will be given by Sue Horner, author of 'Magic dust that lasts', the Arts Council report on sustaining the work of writers in schools.
Places are available to anyone working as a writer in schools, although anyone managing such work may also find the Skill Sharing Day useful.
The event is being organized as a partnership between NAWE, Writing West Midlands, Writing East Midlands and De Montfort University.
The full programme is now available here to download, together with a separate document with details of all individual sessions.
