Gareth offers a range of packages for primary schools, ranging from storytelling for EYFS (and beyond) to workshops, either pre-created or bespoke, for all primary year groups. He has individual novels suitable to be used from year one upwards.
In March 2017 he became a Patron of Reading at a local Nottinghamshire school.
Before becoming an author, Gareth was a primary school teacher for eighteen years where he held the positions of literacy co-ordinator and Assistant Headteacher, which included the responsibility of improving boys’ writing. It is these teaching skills as well as his passion for writing that make his school workshops engaging, inspiring and unique.
Gareth offers a range of packages, including bespoke sessions, which he will build around your children’s needs, as well as your school’s curriculum and ethos. He specialises in world building, science fiction, fantasy, myths and legends, historical fiction and character creation.
He still regularly teaches to keep up with the latest initiatives as well as the latest trends and interests of primary school children.
Gareth is an Indie Author of five books, including Star Friend, The Night I Helped Santa, The Kinmaran Chronicles, Moggy on a Mission and Time Guardians.
He is fully DBS checked.
