Jason is a multidisciplinary creative: designer, artist, poet, writer and creative mentor based in Stroud, Gloucestershire. He is director of the Gloucestershire Poetry Society and editor of Steel Jackdaw magazine. Jason has an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University and is an Arts Council Funded poet.
He was part of the Word Space 2024-25 cohort – a 12-month development and mentoring programme by Literature Works for South West writers.
Jason’s debut collection, the wash of hours, is published by Black Eyes Publishing (2025).
Jason's poetry is published in Poetry Undressed, Poetry Bus, The Poetry Village, Impspired, Wildfire Words, Dreich, Fevers of the Mind, Ink Sweat and Tears, and on BBC Upload. He is published in numerous anthologies, most recently in the NEW GENERATION BEATS 2024 ANTHOLOGY by the National Beat Poetry Foundation.
He has performed at the 2000 Tress Festival in support of Extinction Rebellion, The Space In-between Festival, Cheltenham Poetry Festival and Gloucester Poetry Festival.
Jason was commissioned by the ADHD Foundation as a poet for the Stoke on Trent Neurodiversity Umbrella Project in 2022. His commissioned poem is on permanent display in a peace garden in Hanley, along with a word art mural in collaboration with We Are Culla.
He has facilitated workshops for Gloucestershire Libraries and Stroud District Council.
Jason judged the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust’s inaugural poetry competition in 2023.
