sean burn is a writer, performer and self-taught artist with a growing international reputation. actively involved in disability arts, he is part of the north-east mad studies collective. he was jessie kesson 2016 literary fellow to moniack mhor - scotlands writing centre. he is associate artist with greyscale theatre, tyneside developing a new play joey s/he for tour autumn 2017. his last play collector of tears - toured nationally autumn 2014, received a peggy ramsay foundation grant and was published by aurora metro. it was chosen by the british theatre guide as north-east play of the year that year. he was one of only five disabled writers nationally on the first year of write to play - a fifteen month development programme (2014/15) with graeae theatre and was writer-on-attachment to the royal court, autumn 2014. his seventy poetry films have screened worldwide, as well as at the national film theatre studio, london. three spoken word cd’s released, most recently speaksong (with gareth mitchell, musician). eight poetry pamphlets published. mo thunder (knives forks and spoons press) was shortlisted for the michael marks award 2011. his third and latest full volume of poetry is that a bruise or a tattoo? was published by shearsman press, 2013. www.shearsman.com/browse-poetry-books-by-author-sean-burn
