Start Writing Crime Fiction with Julia Crouch
Mon 8 Jan 2018 to Mon 26 Mar 2018
Writers' Centre Norwich announces the first 'Start Writing Crime Fiction' course with the queen of domestic noir, Julia Crouch, as part of the Spring 2018 semester of Creative Writing Online.
This 12-week online course is designed for people who have little or no experience of writing short crime fiction. It is also for those who have written some short fiction and who would like the guidance of an experienced writer to develop their craft in the genre. It will provide students with the building blocks for how to write a complete crime fiction short story including creating believable characters, suspense and detailed setting and place.

Julia Crouch is the author of five internationally published crime novels – Cuckoo, Every Vow You Break, Tarnished, The Long Fall and Her Husband's Lover. She coined the term Domestic Noir to describe what she writes – a label that has since quite impressively taken root. With a background in theatre directing and play writing, she also has extensive teaching experience and is a member of Killer Women and a founder of The Brighton Crime Wave.
