Attainment Programmes Outreach Co-ordinator
Deadline: Thu 12 Oct 2017
Scottish Book Trust is looking for an enthusiastic Outreach Co-ordinator to support our Attainment Programmes, working closely with stakeholders such as schools and libraries to maximise participation and impact.

Scottish Book Trust is a national charity that believes books, reading and writing have the power to change lives. A love of reading inspires creativity, improves employment opportunities, mental health and wellbeing, and is one of the most effective ways to help children escape the poverty cycle.

We are looking for an Outreach Co-ordinator to join our Attainment Programmes team, supporting the First Minister’s Reading Challenge and Read, Write, Count programmes by working closely with teachers, schools, librarians and other key stakeholders (such as Scottish Government and Education Scotland) to maximise participation and impact.

The ideal candidate is an effective and confident presenter with experience of working with range of stakeholders and the ability to create enthusiasm for our programmes in others. They will have an up-to-date knowledge of and interest in education policy in Scotland and be passionate about the potential for reading and writing to change children’s and young people’s lives.
