Young Inscribe
YOUNG INSCRIBE is a programme of INSCRIBE, housed by Peepal Tree Press, is a project aiming to use current resources and develop new ones, to assist Yorkshire’s Black & Asian writers in advancing their creative and professional development.
Project History:

Supporting writers of African and Asian descent

The INSCRIBE ORIGINALS are a select group who benefitted from our mentoring scheme. General advice & information is also available to any Black & Asian writer.

 

YOUNG INSCRIBE

Is our specific programme working with a selected group of committed writers, aged 18-30, who really want to develop their craft and take their writing further. YOUNG INSCRIBE welcomes writers and performers of poetry, fiction & non-fiction.  Our on-line support, workshops, and quarterly masterclasses, cover a range of topics to enhance your creative and professional development.

  • Crafting good fiction

Each year we aim to offer a no-cost/lo-cost week-long residential workshop tutored by professional writers.

YOUNG INSCRIBE is also an Arts Award Welcome © organisation*

*The Arts Award is a national qualification which recognises how young people develop as artists and arts leaders. The award is a personal learning programme which develops and assesses both arts-related and transferable skills, such as creativity, communication, planning and teamwork.
