In the second of four profiles of the featured readers at NAWE's autumn conference, we here introduce Joe Coehlo. The 'Voices' reading takes place on Friday evening, 29 October 2004, at 7.30pm in Temple Hall, St John's College, York.
Joseph Coelho has performed regularly on the poetry circuit. His lyrical style lends itself to diverse themes, from love to voyeurism and war. Joseph is part-founder of Bright Tiger, a performance poetry group providing community workshops and events. As part of Apples and Snakes' Furnace Development Group he creates new projects to develop poetry for young people. Joseph recently assisted Francesca Beard in the BBC Proms Silk Road project working with teenagers to produce performance poetry.
