Thu 14 Aug 2003
This next NAWE conference will take place on 22 November 2003, hosted by The Writing Centre at Middlesex University. The deadline for proposing contributions is 31 August 2003.
Proposals should consist of a 50 word (max) outline and a clear indication of the length and type of the session (e.g. paper, presentation, workshop, discussion), together with brief biographical details.
We hope the theme is suitably broad, while offering scope for focusing on some specific issues such as gender, race, national identity and 'writing between cultures'. It is worth noting that 'Identity' was a theme in this year's GCSE coursework, so we are definitely not restricting our conference to the world of Higher Education. We encourage proposals from writers and others working with creative writing at all levels and in all contexts. We will also be featuring sessions on personal, professional development, including some individual consultations.
Please send proposals to the NAWE office.
Conference booking details will be mailed to all members in Septemeber/October 2003.
