Writer and NAWE member Barry Stone's innovative community arts project is now exhibiting at the Laing Art Gallery in Newcastle.
The Car Crazy project set out to involve all kinds of people in the arts via cars. True to this, the exhibition includes work by young offenders, by community documentarists and others. Entry to the Laing is free. The exhibition is in the Tyneside Room, next to the Cafe Laing, and runs until 30 April 2003.
Car Crazy, edited by Barry Stone, was reviewed in Writing in Education No 27 and is available from the University of Newcastle Centre for Lifelong Learning.
