Writers Lois Keith and David Lambert were two of the writers meeting at York's National Centre for Early Music to help NAWE and KMA plan this new project.
The online tutoring facility is being developed as part of Metier's Creative Renewal project (funded by the European Social Fund, EQUAL Programme). Also present as part of the planning team were writers Lucy Banwell and Pat Bryant. KMA were represented by Kit Monkman and Claire Philips.
A whole range of writers' approaches and needs were discussed in working out what flexible combination of online tools would be required to make a remote creative writing class both intuitive and productive.
As part of the ongoing development process, a discussion will be initiated on the Messageboard within the Members' Area on this site. All members are welcome to enter this discussion, and we are particularly keen to hear from more disabled writers - the target group to which the facility will eventually be promoted.
