Trevor Lockwood plans to publish an anthology of poetry submitted by users of his author.co.uk website. The theme will be 'LOVE' as he believes the world needs a better understanding of the meaning of that word.
Poems must be no more than 100 lines long. Email submissions only, which means that the poem must be pasted into the email. No attachments - they will be disregarded. Send entries to poems@author.co.uk
We are looking for sharp and lively ideas; well-written, heartfelt and evocative. Each poem must have a title and the writer's real name, full address, and eddress. These details are for our use, and will not be given to anyone else without permission. Those poets whose work is selected for inclusion will be contacted later with publication information.
As part of the learning process every entry must also include a brief (maximum 100 words) explanation of how the poem was created, and a description of what the poet feels are its strengths. This may be included in the finished work. As well as publishing the best - most vivid and artful - poems, we are looking to create a book that explores the creative process whilst revealing issues, emotions, and images that are relevant to any of us today.
No entry fee. No correspondence will be entered into.
