Booking has now closed for the forthcoming NAWE Conference at the Richard Attenborough Centre in Leicester on 23 and 24 June. All delegates who are staying in Leicester on the Friday night are most welcome to join us for a drinks reception at 6pm.
A NAWE conference in association with Sound Sense and The Foundation for Community Dance
Friday 23 - Saturday 24 June 2006
Richard Attenborough Centre, University of Leicester
This conference will explore working across art-forms in all educational contexts including the community. On Friday 23 June we will be running a laboratory-style day facilitated by NAWE's Professional Development Manager and poet Anne Caldwell. Anne has wide experience of collaborating with other artists, and she will work with a small group of delegates to make connections and develop practice. The full conference will get underway on Friday evening, when the artists who have been working together that day will be invited to present. Saturday 24 June will follow a more traditional conference format, with presentations, workshops and debate. The
full programme is accessible in the Training & Events section of this website. Printed programmes and booking forms are available on request. You can also download, above, the programme and booking form, also maps and details of available accommodation.
NAWE aims, through its conferences, to bring together writers and others working in education to share practice and learn from each other in a focused and supportive environment.
We look forward to meeting you in Leicester.
Gill Greaves, Acting Programme Manager
