Working With Creative Partnerships - Writers' Guild Advice
Sun 16 Aug 2009
Advice from the Writers' Guild of Great Britain for writers working with Creative Partnerships following a recent shift in policy.

Many writers have had rewarding experiences working on projects in schools for Creative Partnerships/Creativity Culture & Education.

Please be aware that, following a recent policy shift, Creative Partnerships, who broker these projects, will no longer accept any responsibility for the actual terms and conditions of employment. These will now be entirely the responsibility of the individual school that is hiring the writer.

The Writers' Guild, therefore, strongly urge you not to begin any assignment until you have some sort of written agreement in place. They are in the process of putting a sample agreement which you may use as a guideline onto the website. Further details are available here.
