EEL Pie - Enabling e-Learning: Project for Innovation in e-Writing. York St John University has initiated this project to encourage students in the Faculty of Business and Communication to get involved in creative writing.

The project is funded by the university's CETL, 'C4C'. C4C
means Collaborating for Creativity. This is part of the national CETL scheme, whereby YSJU has a Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. C4C supports a number of smaller projects, one of which is, EEL - Enabling e-Learning: Creativity in virtual space.

EEL is offering EEL PIE: first prize is a £200 contribution towards the cost of going to New York to attend the Association of Writing Programmes Annual Conference, January 30 - 2 February 2008.

EEL PIE offers students the opportunity to:

  • engage in a creative mixed-media project with great prizes
  • try some creative writing - and get help in doing it
  • develop skills with sound and photographic technology
  • create their own short mixed media product

Students receive:

  • FREE help in using sound and visual technologies
  • FREE support in writing creatively from YSJ University's Writer in Residence, Debjani Chatterjee
Work will appear on the C4C CETL (EEL) website and on the NAWE website.
