EEL Pie - Enabling e-Learning: Project for Innovation in e-Writing. York St John University has initiated this project to encourage students in the Faculty of Business and Communication to get involved in creative writing.
The project is funded by the university's CETL, 'C4C'. C4C means
Collaborating for Creativity. This is part of the national
CETL
scheme, whereby YSJU has a Centre for Excellence in Teaching and
Learning. C4C supports a number of smaller projects, one of which is,
EEL - Enabling e-Learning: Creativity in virtual space.
EEL is offering
EEL PIE: first prize is a
£200
contribution towards the cost of going to New York to attend the
Association of Writing Programmes Annual Conference, January 30 - 2 February 2008.
EEL PIE offers students the opportunity to:
- engage in a creative mixed-media project with great prizes
- try some creative writing - and get help in doing it
- develop skills with sound and photographic technology
- create their own short mixed media product
Students receive:
- FREE help in using sound and visual technologies
- FREE
support in writing creatively from YSJ University's Writer in
Residence, Debjani Chatterjee
Work will appear on the C4C CETL (EEL) website and on the NAWE website.
