Hay Festival Director to Appear at Great Writing
Fri 20 Jun 2008
Peter Florence MBE, Director of the Hay Festivals, will be coming to Bangor to give the key note speech at this year's international Great Writing creative writing conference, to be held on June 28-29. Peter Florence is a Creative Fellow at the University of Bangor, and will be speaking about the Hay Festival in a talk provocatively titled "Some Kind of Sandwich".

As well as the Hay Festival, Florence founded similar festivals in Mantua, Segovia, The Alhambra Palace, Cartagena, and Paraty.

The programme for this year's conference is the most vibrant yet, with workshops by Professor Philip Gross from the University of Glamorgan, and Professor Rob Pope from Oxford Brookes University, as well as papers on aspects of creative writing practice and creative readings from writers and scholars from all around the globe.
