Writing in Education No. 47
Fri 27 Feb 2009
The next edition of Writing in Education is currently being printed and will be mailed to all members mid-March, together with NAWE's Professional Development Programme for 2009-10. Following recent, special editions focusing on Higher Education and schools, this issue concentrates on work in a range of community contexts.

Issue No. 47 has a focus on writing in the community, with contributions from Sarah Butler, Clare Crossman and Gilliam McClure. There are also articles on writing and healthcare, by John Killick and Wendy French, and detailed coverage of the Writers in Prison Network by Clive Hopwood and Christine Fisher. Further contributions come from Liz Cashdan (on the workshop), Joan Michelson (on poetry and news), Ian Seed (working with the elderly), Sherry Ashworth, Simon Sweeney, Louise Tondeur and Paul Herzberg.

And if you like controversy, then the letters pages in this edition are most definitely for you!

Many thanks to Katherine Gallagher for acting as main editor.
