Save the future of creativity in schools
Thu 1 Nov 2012
The English Baccalaureate (EBacc) threatens the very future of creative subjects - like Music, Art, Design & Technology, Drama and Dance.
NAWE is supporting the 'Bacc for the Future' campaign being organized by the Incorporated Society of Musicians.

You can add your individual voice to the petition, which calls for an inquiry into the absence of creative and cultural subjects from the English Baccalaureate.

Without creative subjects in the curriculum, our children will be denied the balanced education they need to grow and thrive. Without them, the skills that drive our creative economy will be lost.

The petition needs to gain many more signatories in order to convince the Education Select Committee to hold an inquiry. Please help in the following ways:

Sign the petition at www.baccforthefuture.com and forward the link to colleagues and friends.

If you use Twitter, you can tweet using the hashtag #baccforthefuture and the shortened link www.bit.ly/BaccISM.
