Titash Neogi and Gavin Summers are collaborating on bookmachine.me, a new website that will help international publishing professionals, writers, designers and developers to find each other online.

Titash Neogi and Gavin Summers, who met via the British Council's young Creative Entrepreneur initiative, are collaborating on bookmachine.me, a new website that will help international publishing professionals, writers, designers and developers to find each other online.

Titash is founder of themeefy.com in India, a site designed for the curation of online content. Gavin works on the digital team at Hodder Education in the UK, and is co-founder of BookMachine, which runs events in London, Edinburgh and Oxford for publishing industry professionals and a burgeoning website hosting news, views and interviews. The collaboration began following Goa's Publishing Next conference organised by YCE Leonard Fernandes, where both Titash and Gavin were presenting digital projects.

Gavin takes up the story:

“After the event in Goa, I’d spotted an article that Titash had written online about creating a site akin to an ‘AngelList’ for the publishing industry, and coincidentally, this was the direction we had been hoping to take the BookMachine site: we wanted to try to replicate the interactions we were seeing at our offline events, online. When the opportunity arose for us to apply for seed funding from the British Council, Titash got in touch with me, and it seemed like a great chance to combine BookMachine’s growing network, with the promising technology being developed for themeefy.com.”
