404 Ink is open for full book submissions from both agented and unagented writers. We are also open to pitches for a new pocket book series.
Full Books: This is our core publishing strand - we publish around three full books per year (fiction, non-fiction, short stories and poetry).
Inklings: We are also open to pitches for a new pocket book series - tentatively called ‘Inklings’ - for which we are accepting pitches for non-fiction. This is currently an open-ended window though we are in theory looking to commission monthly.
404 Ink is an award-winning alternative publisher founded in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2016. We particularly like humour, gritty women-led fiction, anti-heroes, parodies, the weird and wonderful, hard-hitting social issue non-fiction, inspirational stories and accessible political engagement. We’d also quite like to publish a crime book that’s an unusual take on the genre.
