The Novel Fair is an Irish Writers Centre initiative which aims to introduce up-and-coming writers to top publishers and literary agents, giving novelists the opportunity to bypass the slush pile, pitch their ideas and place their synopsis and sample chapters directly into the hands of publishers and agents. The Minack Youth Theatre is looking for a selection of short original plays with a running time of approximately 15 minutes for Autumn 2019. The material must be appropriate for performance by a cast of 12-18 year olds and should provide opportunities for between 8 and 12 actors. As part of this process, the Minack is funding a three-day training programme led by writer and lecturer Jane Pugh. Open to young and emerging playwrights (18 years old and up).  Read more...
