Beyond Writing Creative Writing Competition 2019: Call for entries

We are looking for stories (fiction and non-fiction, poetry, academic essays, anything which inspires you) of 1,000 words or less about inspirational women in people’s lives, celebrated historical or political figures, and galvanizing women who have changed the world.
Beyond Borders is an organisation dedicated to facilitating dialogue and international cultural exchange, working through several mediums including literature, arts, film, politics and dialogue. Our creative writing competition touches on all these themes, with the first competition topic being Inspirational Women.
The winner will receive two free weekend passes to our Beyond Borders International Festival 2019 and a certificate signed by the judging panel.
The finalists' work will also be published online and they, along with the winners, will be offered a tailored creative writing workshop with author and journalist Jean Rafferty?from Dove Tales at the Beyond Borders International Festival 2019 on August 24th and 25th.
The winners will also have the opportunity to meet, and receive feedback on their work from, one of our headline writers at this year’s festival.
The next two competition themes will be ‘Creative peace’ and ‘Beyond Borders’.
