Cranked Anvil Short Story Competition (October 2021)

Our quarterly short story competition is open for entries all year round from writers worldwide. The competition is open to any theme or genre, but your story must be a maximum of 1,500 words (not including the title). Next deadline is 31st October.
You can enter up to three stories in each quarterly competition. The three placed stories from each quarter will be published on our website. Future print anthologies will also be considered, published by Cranked Anvil Press, in which a selection of short- and long-listed stories from each competition will be published.

Entry fee: £5 for one story; £8 for two; £10 for three.
