We are looking for writers who have a strong voice and style and who have engaged with the work of Fly on the Wall before as a reader and feel they understand our ethos as a publisher. 

We prefer writing with a sprinkle of social consciousness and political engagement.

Why Fly on the Wall Press for my book?

Each stage of the publishing process is managed by editor Isabelle Kenyon who works closely with her writers to ensure that they are happy with the way their work is presented, and will suggest ways of improving the work, where it can be even stronger.

Authors receive free copies of the book and 30% in royalties, 3 times the recommended royalty rate from the Society of Authors. We are sometimes able to provide advances when funded by Arts Council England.

All books are marketed to the highest standard, and we work hard to promote them! 

We publish quality over quantity.

Before submitting, please ensure you are familiar with our mission and our books. We do ask that writers have bought a book from our shop (in any format) in the year that they submit their manuscript, in order to support our publishing schedule.
