Maya Poetry Book Awards 2026

The Maya Poetry Book Awards is an annual, international competition to recognise the best poetry books produced by indie writers, self-published authors, or books published by small, truly independent presses. We are proud to be a Welsh-based, international contest open to all indie poets globally.
Prizes
We have three main prize categories.
1st Prize £800
2nd Prize £400
3rd Prize £200
We have one special category for books written for children. All suitable books will automatically be entered into this category.
Children's Prize £200
Entry fee: £40 Discounts available if sending in more than one book.
