Overton Poetry Prize 2024
Deadline: Sun 31 Mar 2024
In memory of Professor Bill Overton (1946-2012), the English Division in the School of Social Sciences and Humanities at Loughborough University offers this prize for a sequence of poems up to 300 lines on any subject. The first-placed entry will be published as a limited edition pamphlet.
The entry fee is £12.50.
All entries will be judged anonymously. This year’s guest judge is Daniel Sluman
This is a not-for-profit project: the entry fees fund the publication of the winning pamphlet, as well as an early-career poet in residence for Loughborough University. Loughborough students benefit from being able to share their work, and talk about their aspirations, with someone who has undertaken a similar journey in creative writing and is able to give encouragement and professional experience.
