The 2026 Charles Causley International Poetry Competition
Deadline: Sun 4 Jan 2026
Poems (max 40 lines) are invited from writers worldwide aged 18 and over. This year's theme is Family. Head Judge: Fiona Benson.
Prizes
The first prize winner will receive £1,000 and a weeklong residency in Cyprus Well.
The second prize winner will receive £200.
The third prize winner will receive £100.
Podium winners will also receive Launceston Poetry Festival 2026 general passes.
There will also be two Highly Commended placed poets.
Entry Fee
The first poem submitted costs £7.50. Subsequent entries in the same submission cost £5 per poem.
