The Libraro Prize 2026 – Early Uploads Open Now
Deadline: Sat 31 Jan 2026
Upload your work to Libraro today: early entries will be automatically transferred when the prize officially opens on 8 January. The Libraro Prize is a major new award for unagented adult and YA fiction. Free to enter, it offers a £50,000 publishing package for the overall winner, while all entrants benefit from a secure, reader-engagement-driven route to visibility.

The Libraro Prize is a major new opportunity for unagented writers of adult and YA fiction. Created to support emerging writers navigating a rapidly evolving submissions landscape, the prize provides a transparent, securely hosted route to visibility informed by early reader engagement.

Upload now for FREE: Register as a WRITER on Libraro.com with the LIBRARO2025 code before entries formally open.

Writers are invited to upload the opening 10,000 words along with the full manuscript (the full text remains securely stored and doesn’t become visible to readers until next stage of the judging, where writer permission will be sought and given). Uploads are open now, and any eligible early submission will be automatically transferred into the official prize window when entries open on 8 January 2026. Early upload allows writers to begin gathering engagement on their sample chapters while ensuring the full manuscript is ready for the judging process.

The overall winner will receive a £50,000 publishing package (a £30,000 advance and £20,000 towards marketing), together with comprehensive editorial and developmental support. All shortlisted writers receive guidance on presenting their work to agents and publishers.

In addition to the main award, the Prize will include a small number of reader and community recognition prizes, designed to reward those who meaningfully support writers; whether through thoughtful engagement with work on the platform or wider advocacy.

The Libraro Prize is free to enter and open internationally to unagented fiction writers aged 18 and over. Full manuscripts must be finalised and available by 31 January 2026.
