The SI Leeds Literary Prize 2026

The SI Leeds Literary Prize is open to Black and Asian women writers aged 18 or over, based in the UK and writing fiction in English. 2026 sees the 8th edition of this biennial award.
The Award is open to unpublished novels and/or collections of short stories of any genre of no less than 30,000 words.

The winning author will receive a free place on an Arvon creative writing course of their choice and also receive a digital showcase from The Literary Consultancy. The second and third placed authors will receive complimentary access to an Arvon online masterclass. Additional prizes for shortlisted and longlisted writers.
The judging panel for the 2026 prize is Irenosen Okojie, (head judge), Dr Kadija George Sesay, Arathi Menon and Rachel Yeoh.
£10 fee for each entry. A number of free entry bursaries are available for writers on low income.
