Uncertain Stories: Open for submissions of short stories
Deadline: Fri 29 May 2026
Uncertain Stories exists to promote short stories, and we welcome short story submissions from both new and established authors all over the world.

We publish high-quality short fiction that takes place more-or-less here, more-or-less now, with a supernatural or speculative edge. Word count: 1,000-15,000 words

Submission fee: We charge a £5 submission fee for each story submitted to us. This helps with our running costs (we do not receive any external funding), and allows us to devote more time and attention to the submissions we receive. You can choose to purchase one of our anthologies during the submission process, instead of paying the fee.
