Our retreats, set in the stunning surroundings of Llanystumdwy between the sea and mountains offer the perfect creative escape.
Find tranquillity on woodland walks or try local beers at the village inn. Take inspiration from the spectacular sea views over Cardigan Bay, share ideas over dinner or simply sit back and relax in Ty Newydd’s cosy library. Everyone will have a room of their own, and homemade meals, made with local ingredients, will be prepared for you.
On this autumn retreat, Christina Thatcher will join us as a writer-in-residence. A writer, lecturer and experienced tutor, Christina will run workshops on developing your craft and your skills as a professional writer. You will also receive a one-to-one tutorial with her looking at your work – you will be invited to send an extract of work in advance.
This retreat is perfect for poets and prose writers working on short-form in particular (short stories and flash fiction); but also suitable for novel writers and those working on non-fiction.
