35 New Courses for 35 Years of the Irish Writers Centre
Mon 5 Jan 2026 to Wed 1 Apr 2026
2026 marks 35 years of the Irish Writers Centre, which was founded in 1991. We're delighted to unveil our first batch of new creative writing courses from January onwards, covering a huge range of interests and for writers at every stage of their journey.

Start 2026 with a bang with courses like Declan Burke's 'Murder is Your Business' or June Caldwell's 'Writing a Short Story','Finish Your Novel' with Conor Kostick or learn how to 'Survive as a Writer' with Jan Carson.

We've got something for everyone, spanning literary, YA and historical fiction, poetry, comedy, illustration, science fiction, comedy, video game-writing, spoken word, editing... and that's just for starters.

Whether you're looking to dive deep on a 10-week course or recharge your creative batteries with one-day workshop, we're certain there's something here to inspire you, wherever you are in your writing career.

Join us and make 2026 your most creative year yet!
