Organisers of the 3rd European Biblio/ Poetry Therapy Conference taking place in Canterbury in October have unveiled a programme which includes presenters from across Europe and the rest of globe.
Presenters and workshop leaders from the UK, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Turkey, Sweden, Finland, Norway, France, Austria, Romania, Israel, Zambia, Japan and the US will gather with participants for the two-day event in Kent and spend time discovering 'how words can heal illuminate and transform people’s lives'.
The conference organising team received twice the number of proposals required for its programme on
October 1-2. Victoria Field, whose company the Poetry Practice Ltd is producing the event in collaboration with Lapidus International and CHARM ( an international network of those working in medical and health humanities) says:
'It is heartening to have such interest in the conference from so many different countries. We are expecting a few days of deep connection and community in Canterbury.'
