Here are the dates for your diary:

Tuesday 18 January, 7.00 pm - 9.00 pm

Tuesday 8 February, 7.00 pm - 9.00 pm
- Love Poetry for the 21st Century Workshop
Writer, journalist and one of Parthian’s Bright Young Things Susie Wild will lead a practical workshop on writing modern love poetry. Including ways to retell old rhymes for the contemporary heart, and a variety of exercises for writing love poetry of all shapes and sizes – right in time for Valentine's Day.

Saturday 19 March, 2.00 pm - 4.00 pm
- Spring into Action! A Workshop for Writers
Micro-fiction writer Holly Howitt will offer a range of writing exercises, games and stimuli to get writers started on fresh pieces of work. If you have writing ideas to explore, want to start something new from scratch or combat the challenge of the blank page, then this workshop is for you. All abilities welcome.

Thursday 5 May, 7.00 pm - 9.00 pm
- Travel Writing Talk and Workshop with John Harrison
Travel writing shares skills with fiction writing but has techniques all of its own. Writer and explorer John Harrison will share his experience and knowledge of building travel writing skills, with special attention to characterising people, building deep and moving descriptions of place, and handling research lightly and effectively. The session includes practical exercises.

Welsh Language Programme: Alongside the above workshops, there are a number of Welsh Language 'meet the author' events and discussions taking place in the Wales Millennium Centre. Click here to find out more about the Welsh programme.
