Arvon Online Writing Day: Non-Fiction - Getting stuck and unstuck with Wyl Menmuir
Fri 13 Mar 2026 to Fri 13 Mar 2026
Writing can be a tricky business. You have a great idea, but how to overcome those stumbling blocks that inevitably show up in between having that great idea and writing, ’The End’?

Join award-winning novelist and non-fiction writer Wyl Menmuir, who has been stuck while writing everything from novels and short stories to essays and non fiction books, as he guides you through how to respond when things are not going so well, and helps you to come out the other side, confident that you’ll see your way through to the finish line.

In two workshops spread across a day of writing, Wyl will lead you through a series of practical, inspiring exercises, tried and tested methods to get you kickstarted or started again, and techniques designed to help you to find your way forward for your work in progress.

You’ll come away with a new toolbox of techniques and exercises – not just for the project that’s on your mind right now but for at any point in future when you get stuck (and, if you’re anything like me, you will).
