City Lit: Picture book writing: Advanced with Clare Helen Welsh (Online)
Wed 22 Feb 2023 to Wed 5 Apr 2023
Would you like to workshop, edit and polish your picture book texts for young children? This course is designed for advanced picture book writers wishing to hone their skills and improve their own stories.

Under the guidance of an experienced tutor, these workshops offer help and support to children's picture book writers with works in progress. Over six weeks, different writers will have an opportunity to present their picture book text and receive helpful and constructive comments from the class. There will also be close reference to published texts, information on current markets and advice on how to approach publishers.

Clare is a children’s writer from Devon. She writes for a wide range of ages about a wide range of themes and has over 50 published titles. She founded the #BooksThatHelp initiative that aims to create honest emotional spaces for children through a love of reading and books.
