Creative Writes Walk & Write Workshop (March 2026)
Sun 29 Mar 2026 to Sun 29 Mar 2026
We are excited to be back for 2026 with our first Creative Writes Walk & Write Workshop of the year on Sunday 29 March, 11am-1pm, in Whetstone, London, N20.

Join us for a walk around this historic neighbourhood and enjoy the peace and beauty of its green spaces. We will take writing inspiration from its stories. Our groups are small & supportive and we are a very welcoming community.

Creative Writes (founded 2009) facilitates monthly weekend creative writing workshops in different North London locations with a variety of themes, which connect to each place and its unique stories.

We walk and write together, you don’t need to prepare anything beforehand. Nichola will guide you through a range of free flow ‘writes’. As with all of our group workshops, there is no critique on the writing. The focus is on parks, open spaces, canals, wetlands and heritage sites.

In 2024 we had fantastic Walk & Write Workshops at Kenwood House & Hampstead Heath; Regents Canal & King’s Cross; Victoria Park – Finchley; Woodberry Wetlands & New River Path; Alexandra Palace Exhibition & Lake; Golders Hill Park, Hill Garden & Pergola; Pond Square & Literary Plaques – Highgate and The British Library. 2025 brought wonderful workshops at Lauderdale House & Waterlow Park, Hampstead Village & Burgh House, North Finchley N12 – Urban Stories (including Arts Depot Exhibition Tour) and Barnet Village & Museum.

Date: Sunday 29 March, 11am-1pm
Location: Whetstone, London, N20.
