“In a creative writing workshop anything can happen.
There is a magic about a creative group situation. Although many would be writers feel
nervous with others witnessing them, the process is like alchemy and we work initially
with exercises to wake up the imagination and allow some fun and to experience the huge
pleasure of encouragement. Through the group, a lonely or confused writer's confidence has a chance to grow.
Through the weekend, participants will write, read out loud, play games with dialogue,
structure and situation, and listen to and offer feedback.
My job is to be a catalyst to your creativity. This may lead on to novel or short story writing, to non fiction, poetry or plays, or it might just mean your diary and your emails are written with greater expression in the future. The choice is yours.
The Voewood course is a spring board from which you can dive, in surroundings to inspire,
stimulate and also soothe the creative spirit.
Whether you have written before, are fluent, or terrified of the blank page, a creative writing
workshop is an opportunity to put yourself out there and let your work speak for you.
The course is suitable for all levels of previous writing, and that includes none. It’s an un-
missable chance, please come.”
