#DeptfordLitFest is back for its 3rd edition!
Fri 15 Mar 2024 to Sat 16 Mar 2024
The festival launches on Friday 15 March 2024 with an evening of soundcapes and poetry curated by poet, writer and DJ Tice Cin at the Albany. And it continues with a full, free programme throughout Saturday 16 March 2024, with performances, workshops, talks and exhibitions held in spaces across Deptford. This year's festival theme is: Unheard Histories, Untold Stories.
All the Festival workshops are open to writers with different levels of experience – from regular writers to complete beginners. Access is at the heart of Deptford Literature Festival. All in-person events are BSL interpreted and online events are captioned.
The festival Marketplace will take over the Foyer of Deptford Lounge. Here, you can get to know local publishers and community organisations, meet our festival authors and buy copies of their books from our partners The Word bookshop and Round Table books.
Our programme of Children’s and Family events features a number of events suitable for a variety of ages, ranging from 3 – 15 years.
All events are free but booking is essential.
Deptford Literature Festival is run by Spread the Word with creative producer Tom MacAndrew and funded by Arts Council England with support from The Albany and Deptford Lounge.
