EMBRO: Edinburgh Poetry Tours with Ken Cockburn, Edinburgh Fringe, August 2026
Fri 7 Aug 2026 to Wed 26 Aug 2026
This summer's poetry walks will be in August, as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Poet Ken Cockburn presents, on and around the Royal Mile, 'an Edinburgh alive with literature' (BroadwayBaby.com). Stroll quiet historic closes, bustling contemporary streets and open green spaces, all to a soundtrack of poetry 'deftly and lovingly performed by Cockburn' (AYoungishPerspective.co.uk).
If you're new to Edinburgh you'll see some key sights, and if you know the city you’ll experience it afresh by slowing down and listening to the words of poets writing across the centuries. 'Highly informative, thoughtful and a great way to discover bits of Edinburgh we’d never seen before' (Audience Review).
The walks are from 11.00 to 12.30 on various dates between 7th and 26th August 2026, meeting outside the Scottish Poetry Library
