This free, online monthly series of creative writing workshops uses collections from Europeana.eu as inspiration for writing prompts. The sessions take place on the first Wednesday of each month at 15:00-16:00 CEST (14:00-15:00 UK time) and each has its own theme so there are always new stories to be created!
The next sessions will be on Wednesday 1 July 2026, Wednesday 5 August and Wednesday 9 September at 15:00-16:00 CEST (14:00-15:00 UK time). Online, Free. Join us as we explore the themes of Light in the Dark (1 July), Endings (5 August) and Hemispheres (9 September).
We’ll do some gentle warm-up exercises and free-writing to spark inspiration and get the words flowing, and then we’ll delve into some longer prompts to give participants the chance to explore their ideas. By combining practical writing exercises with a supportive writers’ circle feel, participants will achieve great things in the session and leave with tools, resources and ideas to keep the stories coming.
Write in any language. There is no obligation to share writing. No experience is required. Come and enjoy an hour of creativity!
