Explore the streets of Hatton Garden, London's ancient and storied diamond district, and how walking can spark new ideas, in this new day-long course.
From Samuel Pepys and Charles Dickens to Lauren Elkin and Noreen Masud, the act of walking to unlock the creative process has inspired writers for generations. Over a day in and around Faber’s home in Hatton Garden, and in the company of up to fourteen of your fellow walkers and writers, you’ll discover how walking can unlock new ideas and push through creative blocks.
Hatton Garden, London’s iconic diamond district, provides a fascinating backdrop for this creative exploration. As you walk, you’ll uncover stories hidden within its streets – from its medieval past to its present-day rhythms.
With writer Taran Khan as your guide, you will write as you walk, using prompts and guided exercises, learning how to transform the experience of passing through a place into new stories.
The course will take place at The Bindery, Faber's beautiful new offices near Farringdon Station, and the surrounding area.
