Fine-tuning your poems - Online Editing Workshops with Cath Drake
Wed 12 Aug 2020 to Wed 23 Sep 2020
Hone those poems you’ve been writing during lockdown with a talented international group of writers from across UK & Australia guided by prize-winning poet Cath Drake (The Shaking City & Sleeping with Rivers, Seren Books).

There will also be teaching each week on an aspect of editing and supporting each other in our writing aims.

This international group will give you fresh perspectives.

Who is it for? Poets mostly, but prose writers can also gain a great deal in learning the close reading and refinements needed to edit poetry. It’s for writers who are generating work and probably already have some work published.

Dates:

Five sessions on Wednesdays 12 & 19 August 2020 then 9,16, 23 September 2020, 10am UK time; 5pm Western Australia; 7pm Australian Eastern Standard time. (If you can only make 2-3 workshops let me know as there may be some flexibility for some writers. I may also set up another workshop if there is enough interest.)

Cost: £100 GBP or $180 AUD, concession £80 GBP, $160 AUD

Workshops are limited to 10 participants.

About the facilitator: Cath Drake’s collection ‘The Shaking City’ was published by Seren Books. It follows ‘Sleeping with Rivers’ which won the Seren/Mslexia poetry pamphlet prize and was a Poetry Book Society choice. Cath has published in literary journals in the UK, US, Australia and Ireland. Cath is also an award-winning journalist and nonfiction writer.
