Games, Gothic, Gore – horror beyond Hollywood

This daylong symposium offers critical papers and creative writing workshops exploring alternative horror narratives in text, film and video games
Featuring keynote speaker Dr Colette Balmain (Kingston University, London) on East Asian Gothic Cinema. Postgraduate students will offer papers on American Horror Story, The Shining, Fear the Walking Dead, Resident Evil and horror gaming.
Novelist and scriptwriter Charlotte Baker will offer a creative writing workshop There will also be zombie make-up demos and video gaming students showcasing their work. 9.30 Arrival and Registration, 4pm close.
