A 12-week online masterclass on the Southern Gothic tradition, from O’Connor and McCullers to Jesmyn Ward and Maurice Carlos Ruffin. We’ll explore haunted landscapes, broken families, faith, violence, and the legacy of history in the American South, alongside its reimagining in the age of climate change.
Includes peer workshops, special guest writers, and individual feedback on your writing. All sessions recorded.
Host: Sarah Byrne, with three special guests, including award-winning writer ZZ Packer.
