Inside Writing: The Art of Literary Translation

Poet and translator Sasha Dugdale delivers a live lecture on the art of literary translation during lockdown focusing on Maria Tsvetayava, in conversation with Tara Bergin. Part of Inside Writing, a digital poetry festival, presented by Newcastle Centre for the Literary Arts (NCLA) in lieu of the annual Newcastle Poetry Festival.

Throughout May, June and July, NCLA are hosting a series of digital poetry events over Twitter, Facebook and Zoom featuring some of today’s most exciting poets responding to the COVID-19 crisis by performing new work, issuing challenges and writing prompts, and discussing how their writing lives have been affected, featuring Inua Ellams, Sasha Dugdale, Rishi Dastidar, W.N.
