Introducing Writing Room: the perfect online home for all creative writers in these tough times
Wed 18 May 2022 to Sun 31 Dec 2023
With rising costs all around, writing courses have become even more of a luxury and writers are going without vital support for their work and camaraderie for their souls. Writing Room challenges that.

We offer a weekly programme of affordable writing courses (where one in eight course places is awarded on a full bursary), free drop-ins, author talks and showcase events, all hosted live on Zoom and accessible worldwide.

How?
We are a Community Interest Company with a patron. We believe passionately in accessibility to lifelong learning. And we are as interested in the writer as the writing.

We welcome writers at all stages and help them put together a bespoke plan to achieve their writing goals. We help our writers find room in their week to write, encouraging inter-writer support networks and developing a community students return to time and again.

Courses include: Introduction to Creative Writing, Novella Writing, Poetry Writing, Life Writing & Memoir, Short Story Writing, Flash Fiction, Prioritise Your Project and Writing for Children & YA.

Our Programme Director is Kate Pemberton, former Fiction Editor at Ambit magazine. Our tutors are all writers who have a genuine love for teaching and find the process of supporting other writers in a warm and open atmosphere enriching and rewarding.
