Lapidus Scotland AGM & Webinar
Thu 25 Jun 2020 to Thu 25 Jun 2020
Lapidus Scotland warmly invites you to their Annual General Meeting event on Thursday 25 June at 5.30pm, this year held online, where we will report on recent activities, with readings by members of our four writing groups. This will be followed by a webinar at 7pm featuring Ann Wales on Creative Words for Wellbeing and poet Kim Stafford reading and offering writing prompts. The webinar and the AGM are linked, but separate, so you can come to either or both.
AGM: We will be expanding the management committee, so please consider this chance to get involved with our work. When circumstances allow, we will be having face to face meetings in Glasgow, but have decided to keep most meetings online. The AGM will formally present a report on work during the 18/19 financial year, elect a committee and give an overview of the work of Lapidus Scotland. We will also hear some of our writers read their work. You can find the annual report for 2018/19 here
Webinar: At 7pm on the same evening, there will be a webinar featuring Kim Stafford, who is a former Poet Laureate of the US State of Oregon and a widely experienced writing teacher and workshop leader. He will be preceded by Dr Ann Wales, a Programme Manager for the Scottish Government, who will present a summary of the findings of the recent Scotland-wide mapping project of Creative Words for Wellbeing groups.
The webinar and the AGM are linked, but separate, so you can come to either or both. Indeed we will be leaving the lines open at the end for informal chats to which you will also be welcome.
We look forward to meeting you!
