London Arts-Based Research Centre: Beyond Meaning: The Unconscious Life of a Poem with Anthony Anaxagorou

Beyond Meaning: The Unconscious Life of a Poem is a six-week online interdisciplinary poetry writing course taught by award-winning poet Anthony Anaxagorou (FRSL).
The course explores poetic creation beyond intentional “meaning-making,” engaging material from the unconscious, memory, sensory experience, and intermodal influences (letters, essays, painting, journalism).

The course is suitable for participants at all levels and may be of particular interest to those working in poetry, creative writing, practice-based research, depth-psychological approaches to creativity, arts-based research, and interdisciplinary methodologies.

Dates: Six Tuesdays, 6 January – 10 February 2026, 18:30–20:30 (London Time)
